Principal Dentist
GDC Register #81888

Originally from Pontardawe in the Swansea Valley, I attended Cwmtawe Comprehensive School before qualifying as a Dentist from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 2003.

Throughout my career I have worked in both general practice and the hospital service ; experience which proves invaluable when caring for my patients today.

My hospital experience includes working in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery departments. This has given me confidence in oral surgery procedures and managing the medical aspects of patient care.

During my time at the Restorative Department of Cardiff’s University Dental Hospital I was able to work with many Consultants dealing with complex dental cases rarely seen in routine practice life.

I have worked in the Conscious Sedation Department at Cardiff Dental School and the Community Dental Service in Gwent. This improved my skills working with children and anxious patients. I aim to deliver quality dental care to even the most nervous patient.

This plentiful experience put me in a good position to assess where I wanted to spend the rest of my career. The potential of our practice was obvious and the opportunity to work alongside Tesni and the staff was too good to turn down. I joined in 2016 and became part owner in 2019.

Tesni and I have been busy relocating the practice to Cradock Street and we look forward to caring for our patients at our excellent new facility.

I have recently worked as a speciality dentist in the Restorative Department at Morriston hospital. Patients were referred from general practice and the treatment predominantly involved endodontics (root fillings) and managing trauma cases. Subsequently I obtained a Masters degree in endodontics and now work for Swansea Bay University Health board as a dentist with enhanced skill in endodontics. I manage more complex endodontic cases that have been referred from general practices.

I enjoy providing good quality family dentistry and regularly treat many generations from within the same family. My aim is to create a relaxed and pleasant environment in which to care for my patients and provide ethical dentistry at the highest standard.

My spare time mainly involves activities with my young family. My sons are keen footballers and I coach their teams, which is sometimes a test of my patience!! We are all passionate Swansea City fans and regularly attend games.
