My name is Donna and I am the practice manager at Willows Dental Practice, I have worked at the practice for 2 ½ years.
My career in dental nursing started 1975, when I started doing work experience from school. I was offered a full-time position on leaving school and was excited to pursue this career. I qualified in 1978 and continued to work as a dental nurse throughout my working years.
Around 14 years ago, I decided to take ‘dental practice manager’ course as a change of direction, I was delighted to achieve ILM Level 2. Once gaining this qualification I was fortunate enough to be able to have a change of role but still remain in the dental environment.
Working as a dental nurse/manager has always been a very rewarding job, caring for patients as a nurse and now as a manager looking after a team of staff.
I enjoy continuing to progress with my career and have recently enrolled in further management training.
Outside of work I enjoy walking, travelling, reading, socialising and spending time with family and friends.
